The Outlets at Castle Rock is Colorado’s largest open-air outlet, and a go-to destination for both residents and visitors. The Barn Antiques and Specialty Shops is a shopping complex with antique vendors selling unique, historical, and vintage finds. The Emporium is another fun variety shop with lovely gifts from local merchants. From soaps and candles to clothes and kitchen items, it’s easy to get lost wandering the booths at the Emporium.

 

La Loma offers an elevated experience with authentic Mexican cuisine served in a stylish dining room with a wonderful Colorado vibe. The restaurant offers a beautiful outdoor space with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

 

Wild Blue Yonder Brewing is nestled in downtown Castle Rock in a historical 1887 carriage house annex. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic, and locals love the original craft brews and unique bites.

 

There’s no better way to spend a Sunday morning than slowly sipping a freshly brewed drink at Crowfoot Valley Coffee. The coffee house offers carefully crafted coffee, tea, and snacks as well as craft beers in the afternoon.

Things to Do

Castlewood Canyon State Park – Cherry Creek cuts through this ten-mile sandstone canyon, a dramatic sightseeing attraction. This year-round day-use park is located fifteen minutes east of town in Franktown.

 

Castle Rock Starlighting is a winter tradition featuring holiday festivities for the community. Since 1936, the traditional Starlighting lights the star on top of the Rock in Castle Rock as a symbol of hope. The Rock is a prominent rocky outcropping that can be seen from the town center as well as the I-25 interstate.

 

The Phillip S. Miller Park and Activity Complex is an indoor and outdoor activity complex housed within a 64,443-sq. ft. multistory building featuring swimming pools, obstacle courses, outdoor aerial course, climbing wall, and more. Castle Rock celebrates its historical heritage with the Western Heritage Welcome. Each year, cowhands from Silverado Ranch drive herds of cattle through downtown Castle Rock. The event also features the Douglas County Fair, with rodeos and bull riding as well as other events celebrating the town’s western heritage.
